Healing Through Connection

Safe Harbour Integrative Counselling

Homepage

Hello, I’m Lisa.
I’m a qualified Integrative Counsellor. Finding the right counsellor is about more than qualifications — it’s about feeling comfortable, heard and not judged.

My role isn’t to tell you what to do. I offer time and space to talk about what’s happening in your life, understand yourself and your experiences more clearly, and find a way forward that feels right for you.

Why counselling matters to me

My journey to this work is built on both professional training and deeply personal lived history.

I have walked through many of life’s natural transitions that reshape how we see ourselves.

I know the heavy weight of workplace pressure, redundancy, and grief. I also understand the quiet shifts of an emptying nest and the new rhythms that come with family aging.

Health changes and the menopause can impact our inner strength too, often leaving us seeking a renewed sense of identity, purpose, or connection within our relationships.

I will never assume I already know your story; your feelings and experiences belong only to you.

I simply know how life can shift, and how much it helps to have a gentle, supportive presence by your side while you find your footing again.

My experience

Working within frontline services has deepened my understanding of resilience and trauma. I am honored to have received a volunteer award for my dedication to this vital work.

I have walked alongside clients navigating the echoes of trauma, the weight of workplace anxiety, and the quiet journey of grief.

I support those facing burnout, low self-esteem, loneliness, and the stress of major life transitions. Whether you are dealing with low mood or the physical impact of health changes, I am here.

Labels aren’t necessary to begin. If you simply feel you aren't quite yourself lately, that is more than enough reason to reach out.

My approach to counselling

Because you are unique, our sessions will be naturally tailored to your needs. I provide a gentle, confidential space for us to explore your feelings without judgment or unsolicited advice. Whether we look at the past or focus on managing the overwhelm of today, we will always move at a pace that feels safe and comfortable for you.
